This is the Week

I can not believe we are going this week! I was cleared today with a 9.5 mm lining with a trilamar stripe. Nurse said it looked perfect and I am clear to start my big PIO shots. So excited third time is a charm and the week of St. Pattys it has to be lucky. Flights all arranged and seats selected. Sitting by hubby on all but one leg of the flight. Hanging out in DC for a couple of hours than off to TN. So excited to meet up with other ladies in the Donor Embryo program there and go out to dinner. Thank you for all of the support and well wishes and prayers. We are truly blessed and know that the Lord will provide according to his plan.

Getting Closer

We are only 10 days away from our transfer and while I have nerves of the transfer, I often feel like I am going through the motions of this transfer cycle. I am cautiously excited. With it being our third try and last chance at NEDC there is some pressure for success. I know the NEDC wants us to be successful and we are very hopeful with these embryos. A part of me misses the thought of the relationship we could have had with our first donors. This journey is full of ups and downs. We are ready for our family to grow and our daughter is more than ready and really needs a sibling around here ;)

Shots are going well. I only have 2 left and than I increase my Estrace tomorrow to 3 times a day and that usually makes me a little sick, but it will be worth it.

Things we are doing different this transfer
*Acupuncture weekly and hopefully right before the transfer if we can find a good Acupuncturist in TN. (3 sessions already done)
*Endometrial Biopsy "Scratching" to help improve our chances for implantation (DONE)
*eating fresh raspberries, I know one of those old wives tales but the benefits of raspberries for uterine health actually goes back a long time
*Drinking a Cup of Organic Raspberry Leaf Herbal Tea Daily (Not as good about every day, but most days) will stop 3 days prior to the transfer or prior to US on Monday.
*New Donors with Day 5 embryos that have had PGD testing (Although we do not have the results of the testing or grades at freezing)
* Staying at a new hotel (Hey ya never know what a change of scenery could do)

in 11 days I will be PUPO

Update Update Read all about it

Our backup donors sent in their notarized agreements this past weekend! I had a endometrial scratching on friday and my baseline US and Labs on monday and was cleared to start taking the Estrace to build my lining. Our travel is booked and I am so ready to meet our little embryos and hope and pray that this third time will work for us since NEDC only allows you to try three times in their program. We would love for this to work and then be able to add a full sibling to our family in a couple of years. I am also excited since several of the ladies in our embryo adoption support group have transfers on the 20th and the 21st and we are all going to try to get together for dinner or desert. We leave in less than two weeks and our transfer is two week from tomorrow. It is coming up so quick!! Please pray for us and our embryos that they will stick and grow for 9 months into a healthy baby. Our daughter has such a hard time seeing everyone else with siblings and wonders and does not understand why she does not have siblings that live with her. I can only tell her we are trying baby, we are trying. after a failed domestic adoption for a brother that we involved her in and these past 2 failed transfer that we did not (to spare her little heart) we just Know God will hear our prayers and guide us to building our family here on this earth.
